Introducing Protégé Elite! A no-downtime, no pain, in-office procedure for toning, tightening, and improving texture of loose, sagging or wrinkly skin. The device utilizes monopolar radiofrequency technology to gently warm the skin, tightening existing collagen immediately, and encouraging new collagen growth over time. During treatment, radiofrequency energy flows from the treatment tip to the skin, warming the skin to approximately 41-42 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, collagen undergoes structural changes. Over a period of weeks to months following treatment, new collagen growth is encouraged, leading to improvement in skin texture, laxity, and even wrinkles.
During treatment the Protégé Elite tip is constantly gliding over the skin in continual arcs and circles. The treatment feels like a warm roller ball floating over the skin’s surface. No pain medication or numbing cream is necessary. Treatment of a single area takes approximately 10-20 minutes. Most patients will need 4 treatments spaced 7-10 days apart for best results.

Who is a good candidate for Protégé Elite?
Patients with relatively good skin elasticity or “spring back” respond more readily to treatment. Younger patients may have more dramatic responses. Patients with poor skin texture may have more modest results or require more frequent treatments. Anyone seeking skin tightening but hoping to avoid discomfort or surgery may benefit from this technology. It also works well when combined with other treatments such as botox and dermal fillers for a rejuvenating, non-surgical face lift!
Best results are obtained in someone who is well hydrated. The only preparation required for the treatment is to drink plenty of water for the 48hrs leading up to the appointment. Prior to your treatment you will be asked to step on a scale that measures your hydration status to ensure that you will get the most benefit from your sessions.
Common areas of treatment for skin laxity or wrinkles include:
- Wrinkles under the eyes
- Drooping brows
- Lower face
- Under arms
Patients who smoke are not good candidates for the treatment due to impaired ability to make collagen and continuous breakdown of collagen caused by the toxins in cigarette smoke.
